W.Bro.Thrivikraman Nair Ravindran was initiated
into Freemasonry in Lodge Trivandrum No.168, on the 1 st. March
1985. He was Passed on the 15 th. of June 1985 and Raised on the
17 th. of August 1985. W. Bro. Ravindran is a second generation
Mason. His father (late) W.Bro. K.Thrivikraman Nair, an Initiate
of Lodge Minchin No.2710 E.C was one of the Founders and a Past
Master of Lodge Ananthapadmanabha No. 280. As a founder of Lodge
Ananthapadmanabha No. 280. Lodge Aruvi No. 293 and Lodge Palai
No. 318, the services rendered by W.Bro. T. Ravindran in the development
of these Lodges have won him wide acclaim in the Area as a dedicated
Mason. W. Bro. Ravindran served Lodge Ananthapadmanabha as its
Master during the year 1995.
W.Bro. Ravindran was exalted in Chapter Minchin
No.2710, Advanced in Mark Lodge Sivagnanam No 877 E.C, and elevated
in RAM Lodge Thiruvananthapuram No. 82. W.Bro. Ravindran was the
founder of Chapter Thiruvananthapuram No. 82 and Chapter Travencore
No. 119 and became the First Principal of Chapter Thiruvananthapuram
No.92 in 200 . He was also founder of Mark Lodge Thiruvananthapuram
No. 82 and Mark Lodge Travencore No. and became Master of Mark
Lodge Thiruvananthapuram No.82 in 200 . He is a Brother of and
has served as Worshipful Commander Noah of R A M Lodge Thriuvanathapuram
No. 82 in 200 . He is an active member of Trivandrum Conclave
No. 127 since 1995 and was its Supreme Ruler in 2007. He is a
founder of Sripadmanabha Conclave No. 490.
His sincerity, zeal and dedication to Freemasonry
have been recognised and rewarded by timely confirment of Ranks.
W.Bro.Ravindran holds the RGL Rank of Past ARGM and Past President
of Grand Stewards in Craft, Past Dy. Regional Grand Director of
Ceremonies Chapter, Past Regional Grand Inner Guard in Mark and
Past Regional Grand Officer in R A M.
W.Bro. Ravindran is the son of Sri. K.Thrivikraman
Nair, former Chairman of Kerala State Electricity Board and Smt.
Komalam, and was born on the 23rd of November 1950. W.Bro. Ravindran
had his education in Trivandrum, in Model High School, Intermediate
College & College of Engineering. He passed his SSLC examination
with the 5th. Rank in Kerala in the year 1965. He graduated in
Electrical Engineering from the Trivandrum Engineering College
with First Class and Honours, and second rank in Kerala University.
Ravindran started his professional career as
an Engineer Trainee in 1971 in the Switchgear Division of ALIND
and after serving in different capacities in Designs, Development,
Projects & Technico-Commercial Services, left in 1986 to promote
a Public limited Company, Transmatic Systems Ltd. He is currently
Director of Accel Transmatics Ltd. and President & CEO of
its Transmatic Systems Division.
Ravindran is the Past Chairman of the Kerala
State Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and
was a Member of Southern Regional Council of CII.
Ravindran was trained in the facilities of Alsthom in France,
Sumitomo in Japan & Output Technology Corporation in USA.
He has traveled widely in India and overseas and has visited over
20 countries.
W.Bro. Ravindran is married to Smt. Rekha and
they have two children, Rakesh and Radhika. Rakesh holds a Master's
Degree in Engineering, and Works as Application Engineer in Future
Techno Designs, Bangalore and is married to Radha Lekshmy. Radhika
is a Commerce Graduate, has completed her Articleship and PE 2
of ACA. She is in USA, married to Santhosh Vasudevan, an Engineer
working for Sony Erickson, USA.
The maternal trait of love for music is evident
in W.Bro. Ravindran. He is an active member of Ganasmriti, the
Family Club of Music Lovers of Trivandrum. He is a Member of Trivandrum
Club and Trivandrum Tennis Club. His hobbies include reading and
collection of stamps. |
