W.Bro. Damodaran Pillay Santhi Kumar was Intiated into Freemasonry on the 19th of September 1987 , in Lodge Trivandrum No.168. He was Passed on the 18th of October 1987 and Raised on the 16th of April 1988. Bro. Santhi Kumar was identified as a true and dedicated mason right from the beginning of his Masonic career. He had evinced a keen interest in Rituals, a sincere dedication in carrying out Masonic projects and a willingness to shoulder positions of responsibility. He was Installed in the Eastern Chair of Lodge Trivandrum in the year 1995. He has won several Certificates of Merit for his performance in Ritual Working Competitions, besides the coveted Pandyan Trophy. W.Bro. Santhi Kumar was the Organising Secretary and Founder Member of Lodge Travancore No. 329 and is also a Member of Kerala Masters Lodge No. 309.
Bro.Santhi Kumar was exalted in Chapter Minchin No. 2710 E.C., advanced in Mark Lodge Sivajnanam No. 877 E.C., and elevated in RAM Lodge Kanyakumari No. 76. He is the Founder Member and Past First Principal of Chapter Thiruvananthapuram No. 92, and Founder Member of Dakshin Principals' Chapter No. 103.
He is also the Founder Member and Past Master of Mark Lodge Thiruvananthapuram No. 82 and Founder member of R A M Lodge Thiruvananthapuram No. 82 and R A M Lodge V O Abraham No. 98, besides being a subscribing member of R A M Lodge Kanyakumari No. 76.
W.Bro. Santhi Kumar is Past Supreme Ruler of Trivandrum Conclave No. 127, and holds the rank of PDG Stwd.
His zeal and dedication has met with the approbation of the rulers of the Craft both at the Regional and National level. He holds the Rank of PAGD of C and PARGM(Craft) P G Std Br and P Dy. RG Swd Br (Chapter) PRGIG (Mark) RGO (RAM). He was a member of the Panel of Judges for the second stage of the ritual working competition in 2005.
Born to Sri P.D.Pillay and Smt.Kanthimathy Devi, on the 19th of April 1948 , W.Bro.Santhi Kumar had his education in Trivandrum . He is a Science Graduate from the University of Kerala and is serving the Pharmaceutical Industry in various capacities for almost forty years now. He is presently the Director of Kaizeen Meditech Pvt. Ltd., and Managing Partner of his family concern Trade Vint, Licensed Custom House Agents. Bro. Santhi Kumar is married to Premlata Nayar, a Post Graduate in Psychology from Pune University , who is also the Senior Partner in the family business. Smt. Kanthmathy their one and only daughter is working as Software Engineer with Infosys Technologies.
W.Bro.Santhi Kumar is actively associated with the Round Table movement. He was the Area Chairman of Round Table India - Area1 and also the founder member and Past Chairman of Trivandrum Round Table 66. He is Past President of Trivandrum Jaycees and a member of the Kerala Philately Association.
W.Bro.Santhi Kumar is socially very active and is a member of Sri Moolam Club, Trivandrum Tennis Club, Trivandrum Club and Trivandrum Golf Club. He is extensively well read and has an enviable collection of world classics in his stack. He well known for his interest in Philately, and in Dog breeding. He is life member of Kerala Kennel Club and is its Past Secretary. He is a keen Golfer too. |
